The Center for International Education: A Cambridge Associate School is the only full Cambridge magnet senior high school in Miami. Dedicated exclusively to the Cambridge AICE program, CIE offers students in grades 9–12 a rigorous, globally recognized curriculum that can earn them up to 45 college credits and an international diploma. With a focus on academic excellence, flexibility, and real-world readiness, CIE partners with organizations like Baptist Health, Homestead Air Reserve Base, and Miami Dade College to provide students with valuable internship opportunities, hands-on experience, and opportunities to earn college credits.
Criteria:
Admission is open to students across Miami-Dade County through the School Choice Magnet application, available annually from October 1 to January 15 via YourChoiceMiami.org. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following academic and conduct standards:
Minimum 2.5 GPA in core academic subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies) for the previous year and the first grading period of the current year.
Minimum 2.0 GPA in conduct in core subjects over the same period.
Effort grades of “2” or higher in all core academic classes.
No more than 10 unexcused absences in the previous year and no more than 5 in the first semester of the current year.
